While at 72 and Sunny, I was happy to use my knowledge of Russian culture and Russian news, not to mention Russian piracy habits, to work with some very brave journalists and some very brave Ukrainian creatives to bring this initiative to life.
After invading Ukraine in 2022, Russia cracked down on journalists and information, while simultaneously legalizing piracy on foreign media products. So, we found a way to pirate information into the country, disguised as foreign movies.
